DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! I just applied this to my baby and she has been running around in pain for the past 10 minutes. At first I thought she was just overreacting after reading the other reviews online I now feel terrible. I just gave her a bath with and tried to get this treatment off of her.
Simply doesn't work I bought and applied this to my cats when their flea problem became apparent. It did absolutely nothing except anger my cats when I applied it to their necks. I fleacombed regularly expecting any day to see fewer of the nasty little vermon. No luck. They've multiplied and now I'm itchy too. I am now waiting for the Frontline I ordered to arrive. As well as the spray for my carpets. It's cheap enough but don't bother.

I then went and read online reviews of the product via google and they are unanimous in their disgust. Some cats went bald the effect of burning skin just horrible. I will be writing and calling Petco where I purchased it to tell them not to sell it. Conversely I used Frontline Plus on my new puppy a stray I took the shelter but no one claimed and who was the one with a horrendous flea infestation and he was great with that product. He was newly neutered and on antibiotics so the vet was very clear that I could only use Frontline or Advantage but not Revolution. They didn't even mention Zodiac. I went the expensive way with the dog and cheap with the cat and I wish I would have paid more for the cat. Zodiak is harmful no doubt in my mind it should be off the shelves. I felt so good that I cornered my difficult cat at 4 am to spare her any fleas from the dog with this Zodiac application and I caused her far more pain and distress.
Don't waste your money You might think you're saving money but this stuff does not actually kill fleas it simply prevents flea eggs from maturing. We put some on our cat several days ago after we bathed her as we had done once before. Today she had to go to the vet and they called and said that she has fleas. I told them I had just put this stuff on her a few days ago and they pointed out that she even had flea nymphs which either means it's not working because eggs are hatching or that there is an infestation in the bedding or elsewhere. That may be possible of course but the point is that if there are flea eggs elsewhere they can still make a home on your cat after they hatch. It also leaves a greasy spot on your cat. However unlike some other reviewers our cat did not suffer any pain or injury due to Zodiac Spot On so it is possible that Spot On Plus which claims to also kill fleas not just prevent eggs from maturing might have worked better. Nonetheless our plan is to use the more expensive stuff Advantage for a few months to see if we can nip this flea problem in the bud for good.
